A closer look

This personal food collection at Kitsune Sushi in Clearwater includes a lifted sushi roll, a bowl of ramen and a plate of gyoza. Each dish introduces a different shape and texture.

What connects the photographs

Chopsticks add a sense of action to the sushi frame. The ramen and gyoza photographs provide a quieter counterpoint, showing how a compact set can still have variety.

Inside the images

Three things to notice

01

The lifted sushi roll brings a human action into the food photograph.

02

The ramen bowl offers layers of ingredients and texture.

03

Gyoza arranged around sauce creates a different composition.

How this approach could work for you

For a menu-focused shoot, I would balance clear views of the dishes with a small number of serving or eating moments that give the images a different use in social content.

Before a session, we can talk through what you need the photographs to communicate, where they will be used and the moments that matter most. From there, we can shape a shot list and a pace that fit the project.
